  1. There's TICA (The International Cat Association), CFA (Cat Fanciers Association), FIFe (Federation Internationale Feline), and ACFA (American Cat Fanciers Association).  They all look at pedigree and breed standards and cats can be in one or more.  Some breeds (like my munchkin) aren't recognized in all registries.  And each country has it's own registries and some breed have their own registries as well.  Very confusing.  In short "A cat registry is an organisation that registers cats for exhibition and breeding purposes."  Wikipedia cat registries, they give the whole breakdown.

  2. What the heck are you talking about?
