Do they have rain tires for the sprint cup at road courses?

  1. No. They decided they are only going to use them in the Nationwide Series not the Sprint Cup. I dont know why they are chosing not to use them. I think it would be cool to see another race in the rain.

  4. They might, but that doesn't mean they'll use them. According to NASCAR's Robin Pemberton NASCAR wouldn't use the rain tyres in the Sprint Cup Series (at least now anyway) because the teams are in a better position to stay an extra day, unlike the Nationwide Series.

  5. Yes and No. They have old rain tires from 1997 or 98  I think. The problem is they are at their lifespan and  the diameter of the tires aren't the same as the COT tires they use today. They may make them next year. This year no.

  6. Nascar has said that the COT is to top heavy and wouldn't work with the rain tires. I wish that they would come up with a way to do it.
