Do they make digital converter for very old television?

Don't bother saying get new one. Have one old Panasonic want to use till it dies. It only has two intake jacks audio, video.

If it doesn't have an antenna in jack, then it is still compatible with the a/v inputs.  Just purchase a converter box like usual and also RCA cables (red white yellow) to connect the converter box to the tv that way.  I have the Magnovox converter box and it has the RCA jack on back of the box.

  3. You can use a converter box with any TV made for the US market since about 1946, maybe even 1939.

    If you have a real old TV with s***w terminals for the VHF antenna inputs, all you need is a cheap matching transformer to change it to the coaxial type.

    There are two ways to hook up a converter:

    1.

    Connect it to the TV's antenna input and the digital channels will show up as either channel 3 or 4. This is just like a lot of old VCRs and cable boxes were set up.

    2.

    From your description you probably have a yellow composite video input and one RCA sound jack. All of the converters have these outputs. Since you only have one sound input, set the converter to "mono" in it's menu and just hook either the red or white cable to the TV's sound input.
