With the new travel restrictions and not being able to carry liquids on board a flight, do the airports in the U.S. sell medications like NyQuil after you pass through security, in the concourse? NyQuil is like a magic potion if you need to pass out for a few hours (ie long flights, etc)

  1. If you want to avoid the hassle of the liquid medication restrictions, etc; I'd recommend just taking Benadryl in pill form instead.  I have friends who use it instead to sleep through flights with no hassles.

    Bon voyage!

  2. I don't think you'll want to take NyQuil before you go through security...you'll be drowsy by the time you get to your gate, and you don't want to miss any announcements (or miss boarding the plane) they might make.

I agree with the answerer above me - I use Benadryl to help me sleep. But, if you MUST have NyQuil, you could try getting some in capsule form. I've seen it at both WalMart and Target; Walgreens/CVS/Rite Aid also sell it.

EDIT: I'm a petite person; medicine affects me pretty quickly. If I were to take something like NyQuil or Benadryl before going through security - an hour before my flight takes off - I'd be a little loopy once boarding time came around. It's not the NyQuil specifically that gives me trouble, it's the timing of taking it.

  3. I work at the airport and I haven't seen it in any of the stores.  You might have to but it in small sized container less then 3ozs and carry that in your zip lock bag.
