I'm asking because I will be in Paris for over a month and I was wondering if it would be easy to find low fat cheese and milk and whole-wheat bread and cereal.

I don't think people in Paris keeping eating croissants and gateaux and crepes au chocolat every day right? Though of course I love to eat that stuff but not every day.

  1. yes they sell it everywhere.

  2. why would you.  It's France, eat like your in France.

  3. nooooo... dont you know french ppl are known to be the fattest ppl in the world ? they eat so much fat stuff... hahahaha, and you cant imagine, the stores only sell fat food...

what's interesting, france is the biggest producer of cereals and milk in europe, and you cant buy it !!

sorry for my answer, but as said in french "à question idiote, réponse idiote".

and if i can give you a REALLY SERIOUS advice : if you re in france for ONLY one month... just try to eat croissants, gâteaux and good cheese everyday...

  4. French cooking is very healthy to begin with.

They are much more conscious of the desirability of fresh food, grown locally, that respects the seasons.

The notion that you improve health by food processed to remove some of the fat and calories is nonsense.

Instead the French are moderate in their eating habits and would prefer to have a smaller portion of something perfectly cooked from the best quality ingredients than massive portions of mass produced and tasteless junk. They  spend two hours at dinner savoring their food while an American is wolfing down a bucket of swill in front of the TV.

This is why, despite having no fear of butter or cream, the French are healthier and slimmer than the average American despite the American obsession with diet or low fat this or that.

Take this opportunity to learn to eat like the French. It is a valuable lesson in living that will serve you well through your whole life.

EDIT: I have little regard for the opinion of someone who can't spell  "nonsense."

  5. You can find bottom-of-the-line "light" food almost anywhere. But you can find better stuff in Monoprix, Casino and Naturalia (only "natural" food sold there)
