  1. Yes, alcohol is served all over the country.

As a matter of fact, one of the things about Holy Week is eating "Torrijas" which are a type of french toast and the bread is often soaked in wine instead of milk before frying!

In some parts of northern Spain it is eaten accompanied with a type of sangría that is called "limonada"...One of the tastiest traditions!

People  who spend several hours watching or going to the "Procesiones", (religious traditions with penitents, and "tronos") often end the hours spent on the street  near the processions, by going to a local café or bar and having hot chocolate or coffee laced with cognac, with hot crullers called "Churros " in Spain, or the torrijas I already wrote about.

  2. They do!

    We are not so religious...

  3. Yes they do. Alcohol is not the demon it is in other countries. Spain is actually more civilised.
