Do they serve cider in the bars in Toronto?

I am a former chef and worked all over Toronto, and you can get the usual one like Bulmers, Strongbow and some of the B.C one's along with a perries, there may be some places that sell a few of the Quebec ones, they make the old style, Trappist monks around Quebec City make some very good one's.

I'm a UK cider drinker...

When in Toronto several years ago cider wasn't at all easy to find, but some places did have a nice light-tasting cider from the Okanagan Cider Company
