Do they serve the same food on every cruise ship within that line?

I am going on my 4th cruise on July 6th....omg...i think in like 5 days. Well, anyways, it will be our 3rd Royal Caribbean. We have never had the same food on a ship twice.....that is probably because we have gone on our cruises one year after the other and they were in different years. I assume they switch up the menues ever so often, but do they have the same food on every cruise ship within the cruise line at any on time. For example, we are going on Freedom of the Seas...is there the same food on Mariner of the Seas, or is it different?

It varies, but each cruise company will have similar food. Now of course they do change the menu around a lot. I have sailed on Princess only and the food was similar on each ship. Like they always has prime rib and lobster and baked Alaska on every ship. Things like that. But each cruise had something unique to offer too.

the menus are updated every so often to cater to guest suggestions, but the real difference in the food is the head chef. same food on different ships is not the same. presentation and style vary so try it even if you think you know what it is..it may be different and or even better than you remember . I have been on the same ship a couple of years apart and the food while similar , is different. so enjoy ...

Most of the Royal Caribbean ships we have been on have had a very similar menu. (So similar that  can tell you that the Vidalia Onion Tart is usually served on Day 1). They have many of the same items on each ship - though different itineraries may have some different items. This helps by not having to completely re-train any of the cooks that may transfer from another ship.

RCCL underwent a menu change this year, and from what I can see, there are still many of the favorites available as well as plenty of new items - I can't wait to find out!
