Do they shuffle cards for online blackjack?

If they do, will card counting still works?

Typically online blackjack generates random cards for every hand effectively simulating an infinite number of decks with 0% penetration. This will nullify the effects of counting cards.

I have heard that SOME online casinos simulate 6 or 8 deck shoes with very bad penetration, but i have only heard of it not actually seen one.  This would make card coutnign possible i suppose if you used a large enough bet spread.

Online BlackJack wouldn't be successful if you could count cards.

Online blackjack is supposed to model a real deck... however, it would be hard to know for sure though, and I'm not sure if they show you when the shuffles occur - I know in the tournament blackjack I play, they don't.
