  1. I've heard of it, read about it in books and stuff, but had no idea it actually happened! I'm originally from the country, about 3 miles from a small town, and I've never heard of it taking place.

  3. I am from Ballybofey in Co Donegal and it is still going. They do it for charities around Christmas and Halloween. I always have them every year knocking on my door around those times for different charities.

  5. no never heard of it and my dad and two of my best friends are from donegal.  Obviously it died out in the 1950s
