I just bought a 1987 19' Citation cuddy cabin boat. Wanting to find info on it. Looking for a website or when the last year they were made. Any help would be most apreciated.

Thanks

  1. Yes, the Citation is still being manufactured.  In fact powerboat mag. has a review of one on it's web cite.  While quality has been an issue , they have been in production for at least 17 years. The design give a good ride and speed for what is a undersized engine.  Most of the complaints have been about upholstery or rotting wood under the floor.  I hope this helps.

  2. Good luck with it. I had a 17' Citation runabout, the same year. It was h**l on wheels fast for what it was. That little 130 Mercruiser really flew. But the boat itself was very poorly made. The gelcoat was very cheap and weathered easily, as well as developing cracks along the transom. The wiring was the very basic. I don't believe they were in business much after '87. It was a great entry level vessel on par with Bayliner quality wise, but unless the party who originally owned it was very anal about basic maintenance, I doubt it's in very good shape compared to a new boat. That being said, if it floats, and runs well, you can fix anything else that needs fixing.
