  1. Parallel parking hasn't been a requirement for the driving test in California for over a decade. I know it used to be, but they removed it.

  2. The places that don't have you parallel park have you do a manoeuverability exercise, which also involves backing up and turning within markings.  Same c**p, different shovel.

According to the driving skills guide for California, you have to be able to parallel park.  It is considered a Level lll skill.  Check pages 14 and 15 of this guide.

  3. No, parallel parking is not a required skill for a standard driver's license road exam in California, but it is if one is wishing to attain a commercial driver's license.

Don't worry!  You will not be required to parallel park.

But, I do suggest you attempt to learn parallel parking!

  4. I thought they do maneuverability.  Parallel parking hasn't been done in years.

  5. no parallel parking, they make you reverse along a curb, pull up to the curb. they do right turns, left turns, left turns at major intersections. its really easy. too easy actually is surprising that some of the people i see driving have licenses. they SHOULD make parallel parking on the test

  6. I hope so
