  2. Mega is right.... Romans used to build very strong constructions, many of which would be functioning until today, if not destroyed. Part of the drainage system of ancient Rome is still working (Coaxa Maxima) and in Athens/Greece Adrian's Aqueduct is still in function, watering (partly) the National Garden....

  3. No, they were destroyed for the most part during times of war.  The people of Rome now use plumbing.

    the most famous aqueducts is still visible anyhow, even in the southern Italy, where I am from.
