    my cousin lives in vietnam his whole life and we communicate by instant messaging

    he knows as much english as i do! and i`ve lived in the u.s. my whole life!


  2. Yes, most every school teaches some english.  Most young children in the cities can speak english along with a lot of adults. Very easy country to get around speaking english. cheers C.

  3. Yes, there are so many International schools here in Ho Chi Minh City that teaches American and British English. In addition, there are also private schools that do the same thing. I am a Singaporean teaching English and Science in Vietnam.

  4. english centres r all over da place , but don't expect the viets speak english as well as the phils  , indians or singaporeans...

    i no quite a lot of western ppl make a living here by teaching english

  5. Yes, in Vietnam, they teach English for children from 7 year-old in primary school. English is use every where in Vietnam, especially in trading companies

    It has been big business there for more than ten years for private schools to teach English to students and business people.

    In early 1990s, English replaced Russian (which had replace French) as the primary foreign language people wanted to learn because the foreign investors primarily speak English (even S. Koreans and Japanese investors use English when entering a market like Vietnam).

    Now, if we could only get some Americans to talk it I would really be happy.
