Question:

Do things really happen for a reason?

Things have hit rock bottom.

A year and a half ago I was debt-free.

I had a salon, brand new car and a life just waiting to be lived.

I met someone who lived out of town, kept driving to see them every weekend, and that led to a financial strap.

Yes, the choice was my own and I've been kicking myself ever since.

I moved out of state with this person, got a new job, rented my house, sold what I could and moved. Ever since, my life has been heading in a downward spiral and I feel so lost.

Money is tight since I have to pay my mortgage *renters got evicted when they stole the washer/dryer and put holes in the wall*, half of my rent plus food and gas and mileage expenses for my job as I travel.

Do things happen for a reason?

  1. Sorry things aren't going so well for you.  Philosophy might be a comfort to you, but I find that usually that's not what it's there for.  Basically all it has to offer is something like:

    1.) Short answer: nobody knows.

2.) Long answer: nobody knows, but since the outcome of assuming 'yes' would be better than the alternative, assume 'yes'.

But, um, as I was hinting at, philosophy might not be the solution for life problems like this as much as the fact that you have to be the reason things happen.

    Best wishes,

    Mike

  2. Oh papa papa papa papa x 4

    Absolutely Not!!

2 says BECAUSE DOG BLOCKS IT.

It is the arrogance of humans to explain everything even if we have to resort to claiming there is some hidden meaning.

2 says so simple to say with 2 words lol and everything knows oredi called Conspiracy Theories! imao.

We find comfort and familiarity from shared popular opinions.

2 says But the Dogs did not share that with 2 at all and even push 2 more deadly depth as much as the doggies could. if DOG could, why would 2 suffer so much for being unreasonable for the good causes????

Believing there is some mysterious reason for everything is actually a need for the illusion of control.

2 says if there is an illusion, why would u need all the fengshui, medium, taoism and other supernatural master for certain unknown explainations? Fengshui is the most belief by the world even China imposes that for the construction of 2008 Olympic faclilities. lol..

    Chaos exists. Randomness happens.

2 says that our mothernature nevers create chaos and randomness because she's the law of order. only People creates CHAO and RANdOMness happens.

Achieving an insight from an event does not prove the existence of a predetermined purpose.

2 says if it is not, how does the f**t police and all the undercover DOGS feedback their prime suspect of 2 to their HQ? or why do they speak such as You have the right to remain silent and refuse to answer questions. Do you understand?

Anything you do say may be used against you in a court of law. Do you understand?

You have the right to consult an attorney before speaking to the police and to have an attorney present during questioning now or in the future. Do you understand?

If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. Do you understand?

If you decide to answer questions now without an attorney present you will still have the right to stop answering at any time until you talk to an attorney. Do you understand?

Knowing and understanding your rights as I have explained them to you, are you willing to answer my questions without an attorney present?

Everything happens for a cause, the only differences are the good causes or the bad causes so does crime scene investigation.

  3. If not they wouldn't happen at all.

  4. A Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

When you figure out which one it is,

You will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a Reason . . .

It is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty,

To provide you with guidance and support,

To aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend, and they are!

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time,

This person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

    Sometimes they die.

    Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realise is that our need has been met,

Our desire fulfilled, their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered.

And now it is time to move on.

When people come into your life for a Season. . .

Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

    Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons;

Things you must build upon in order

To have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person,

And put what you have learned

To use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant.

Just as everything happens for a reason,

Everyone is part of your life for a reason!

    Love & Blessings

  5. No, everything happens because of the choices we make.  If you make good choices good things will happened, you make bad ones bad things will happened.  We don't look outside the picture specially when we are in love.  That's why it's good to ask for advice because others see us the way we don't see our self.  Sorry that's happening to you, sound like you need to find your self a man with money.

  6. Of course.  Whether the reasons are self inflicted or external, there is always a reason.  Eventually the ultimate outcome may be good or bad.  Hopefully good.

  7. Absolutely Not!!

It is the arrogance of humans to explain everything even if we have to resort to claiming there is some hidden meaning.

We find comfort and familiarity from shared popular opinions.

Believing there is some mysterious reason for everything is actually a need for the illusion of control.

    Chaos exists. Randomness happens.

Achieving an insight from an event does not prove the existence of a predetermined purpose.

  8. Yes, everything happens for a reason.

What are the lessons in your present situation?  I'm not going to say what I think, just asking you to step back and look at what's going on.  Now, what can you do about it?  Only you can decide that.

  9. I don't believe in any great, transcendental purpose behind the Cosmos.  I believe that life is arbitrary and capricious and that, when things happen, it is the random result of all the decisions and events leading up to the event.

  10. The reason is what you give it. I have read it somewhere and I really liked it and feel it to be true. Our challenges are what we need to learn the most from. That's why it happened. We were supposed to learn something from it. So yes, it happened for a reason.

Also, ups and downs will be part of life. What matters is how u deal with it. It's no use complaining why it happened. The reality is it has already happened  and is happening. What can u DO about it right now... is where I would focus now.

If we think we went wrong and learned something from it, that's the reason why it happened.
