Do those black and brown house spiders the size of a nickel bite?

I think any spider will bite if provoked.

All spiders have fangs.  Most also have venom. But many spiders can not even penetrate our skin.  Others can but the venom is too week to hurt us.  Some spiders that are very aggressive like the jumping spider, can not hurt us. You should learn to recognize the harmful spiders, and leave the rest alone.
