  1. We had a couple, still had lots of bugs and mice.  I would say invest in bug sprays and mice traps or poisons.  I know they work.

  2. YOU KNOW, I'VE WONDERED THE SAME THING,BUT I'VE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO STOP A BUG NOR MOUSE LONG ENOUGH TO ASK THEM. JUST KIDDING,THE THEORY IS,THAT THE FREQUENCY COMING FROM THE DEVICE EFFECTS THEIR HEARING,KINDA LIKE SOMEONE SCRAPPING THEIR FINGERNAILS ALONG A CHALKBOARD, THUS MAKING IT  IMPOSSIBLE TO STAY THERE

  3. My brother put one in his auto shop and claimed it did the job.  I don't know about the claim that no one can hear it.  Every one I've seen has a clearly audible chirping noise that drives humans away.

  4. They emit sounds only discernible by mice and rats. Humans don't have a hearing range that will permit this to be objectionable. Only in a few situations, can people hear this. This is also true with fluorescent lights. Most people can't hear the buzz, but my wife can. Depending on the area, it can drive you crazy.

  5. I had one in my basement for a long time.  It made NO difference at all that I could detect. I don't believe that they work.
