Do those pointy princess hats have a special name?

Or is it just "pointy princess hat?" Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

  1. You might mean a "hennin".  It's a medieval, pointed hat, often with a veil attached, that we often associate with fairytale princesses.

  2. I've always called them "pointy princess hats" -- with veily  things attached, like in a Disney cartoon. Kinda like dunce caps.

  3. A coronet is a sort of miniature crown. You'll see it worn by Peers in the House of Lords occasionally . I think what you are actually looking for is the conical pointed hat known as an Hennin worn by aristocratic women in the late medieval period. Check out the Wikipedia link below.
