I have been contacted by someone we want in our Yahoo Group but says she doesn't check her yahoo email account regularily. She wants to know how she can participate in the group without missing information that comes thru her Yahoo email. Any suggestions? TY

  1. she can add a different email to her yahoo account (as above) so that all her emails go to the specified address, not her yahoo address. this can also be set up from within her yahoo email, to forward all emails to an address of her choice

or, she can join by email (ie not yahoo), which means she'll get all the messages, but won't be able to use the online group facilities eg files, polls etc

  2. hey can use whatever e-mail they want. Its on the membership page to check which one you want to use.

Or she could just go tho the website, group homepage.

There are plenty of people who use non-Yahoo! e-mail in groups.

  3. No but they won't get access to all the group's web features (Photos, Files, Links, Polls, Calendar.).

  4. send the member this link- you can add any e-mail to your Yahoo account

go to this link- http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs click add email address on top left- follow steps and confirm address.

then go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Email Address click the arrow for the drop down box and select new address- click save changes
