  1. nope

  2. If you are fitted by a pro at one of the clinics held for Titleist, Calloway, Cobra, Nike. Dunlop.Mizuno or any other manufacturer, you will get a club selected for yourswing speed, club weight you can handle, shaft flex and head configuration and feel .  That separates the fitted club from that purchased off the rack.

  3. I believe that the cheapest technology is better than the good stuff 10 years ago. I think that the fit of the club is more important. A pro shop can fit you and if costs is an issue, look at last  years models. For ex I play Nike Slingshot. New they were $699, but now they are less than half that, but still the same exaact club. Technology does change, but a year or two older model will still have more technology than most of us need

  4. The short answer, No.

I love when I see rich guys invest $5,000 into a set of clubs, and another $3000 on lessons only to be shown up by me.

I'm not even that good about 18 handicap (Used to be a 7 handicap decades ago), and my clubs cost around $300 with bag (used).

On the flip side, from a psychological point-of-view expensive clubs will be of benefit if you "Believe" that they are better.

  5. they only make a noticable difference if they are custom fitted to you ask a local golf shop for more information

  6. YES!   If you compare them with the cheap Full Sets you find at Wallmart.   These days, the best clubs are the one that are custom fitted to you (built by clubmakers).   You can spend more than a grand but if the clubs is not for you then you are just wasting a lot of money.
