  1. I think they usually  move northwest.  Regardless if you are under a tornado watch, you need to seek shelter.....an interior wall in a basement is safest if you have one.

  2. its not a general direction. it depends on where it was started and which direction it was stated to be going. but even so they can always change direction.

masses of whirly wind = unpredictable

    hope ive been help

  3. Generally tornados travel from Southwest to Northeast.  I have been in four and that is the direction that they all moved, give or take 15 - 20 degrees.   However, they can move in any direction.

  4. Tornadoes typically move in a southwest to northeast direction, but not always.  They have moved from any direction, made loops or "s" curves.  If a tornado watch is in effect, be aware of weather conditions and make preparations ahead of time to be ready in case warnings are issued.

  5. if there is a tornado it will come from whichever way the storm is coming from. try to stay calm cuz chances of your house getting hit by a tornado is actually quite small. you will have a greater chance of seeing one b4 one would actually destroy your house.  just remember though tornadoes form on the back of the storm so if it starts getting nasty don't worry too much. good luck and take immediate cover if it turns to a warning!
