Do tornados get worse because of global warming?

I was told no and i believe them. I live in illinois anyway! it doesnt make them worse right?

  1. Whether it's,global warming,pole shift,...who knows what,I'm sure tornadoes get worse,depends on where you live,though.

The answer is it is too soon to know for sure.  Hindsight is 20/20 but at this point there is too little data.  You can hypothesize various scenarios, building assumptions on assumptions.  But tornados are in fact very ephemeral and hard data hard to come by.  As someone once said you can connect the dots looking back to the past, but looking forward you can't see the dots.

  5. No, you cannot blame localized and short term events like tornadoes on long term global events like warming or cooling. There is no way to translate effects of long term climate change down to that kind of resolution.  There are just way too many other factors involved.
