Do trains operate there services all night?

as i want to go to see a gig at night but want to come home in the early hours after it finishes say 1 or 2 am but iam not sure if they run at that time please help!

You do not say where you are.  In Brisbane, Australia suburban trains used to run about every hour after about 9pm until 5am but  you could be in New Delhi or New York for all we know.

The last train on a saturday from Marylebone leaves about 12.30 .Everything will close by 1.30 because it doesn't go further than Aylesbury.Generally trains stop about 1 a.m.I remember spending the night at Bedford it was only a few hours between the last and first trains.

The last passenger trains (depending where you are in the UK) is about 00:30. After that its a wait until 05:00am or ther abouts (again depending where you are!) (After 2am some lines are totaly free of trains, while other have freight services running through.)

i know that round here (north east UK) they stop quite early on, like 11. theres a website called the train line, type it into google and you can find out all you need to know there!

Each TOC operates to a different system and within there timetable each rail line closes down at different times during the night. However some lines do stay open but have maybe 1 train between 01.00 and 04.00 when services would restart.

Also your ticket if it is a day ticket is only valid until 2am, after that time you mut pay for another single.

Check with your local TOC for shutdown and regulations on overnight ticket travel.

It depends where you are travelling to and from. Go to www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ and put the date and times you want to travel and you will see if there is a train at the right time
