there are two bank holidays in may....the 5th, and the last monday of the month is one too....

Trains run everyday of the year, subject to alterations, most networks only close on Xmas Day but even then sometimes there is a skeleton service running on the airport links.

It's the bank holiday monday so trains will be running on a reduced timetable as per Sundays.

Beware, there may be journey alterations because of maintenance involving 'Rail Replacement Buses' connecting the stations where the service has been suspended for engineering work.

E.g. if you're heading for Wales, the Severn Tunnel will be closed meaning you have to get a bus from Bristol Parkway station to Newport.
