People...i have a hard decision to make. I’m from brazil, and since I started working I thought about saving for a possible trip or some interchange abroad. Here I have the comfort of living with parents, so all the money I earn is mine have no bills. If I leave here for a while I won’t have the job anymore. The company is good, I work in an investor consultancy have loads of information about stocks, but I’m just a trainee or whatever u call it. Is it worth a while to leave my comfort of living with parents, having a car and wearing nice clothes for studying abroad to have such experience in learning another language and cultures? How is it in Ireland or uk? Can I learn a lot? Can I live well? How much money do I need for Dublin or London?

  1. I am a firm believer in gaining new experiences, so I would say travel a bit. Although you have things easy at home, at the end of the day, its only material goods that you have. Money isn't everything basically.

Your english appears to be good already, so you have a good start there. Dublin and London are probably the most expensive places to live in UK/Ireland. There are plenty of other really great places to try in the UK. For a better UK experience, I would recommend the northern parts of the UK, as it is cheaper to live and the people can sometimes be more friendly overall. You could try living in Newcasltle, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Glasgow? If you're considering Ireland, I'd recommend Belfast as it's a brilliant city.

Be warned though, none of Europe is cheap. You could always try Australia/New Zealand as well.

I would say wherever you end up, you will learn lots of new things. The quality of life in the UK and Ireland is generally of a very high standard.

If you were able to save up some money to start you off, if you had a work permit, you could always look for work whilst you were over here.

    Good luck to you.

  2. You don't get many opportunities like this on your life, grab it with both hands!

You cannot compare material things to life long experiences. The reality is, no, you probably won't be able to "live well" (i assume you mean live as you do now) and yes you will need some savings to help you through your studies and I would seriously suggest that you consider studying somewhere else in the UK such as Manchester, Birmingham or Leeds. All big cities with lots to offer but with less cost than London or Dublin.

  3. Man do what you want to do in life.  You say you live with you parents, time to move on.   You only have one life to live so make it the best that you can.  You do what ever makes you happy.   Once you have a wife and kids you can't do what ever you want anymore.  Do it now and don't look back!!
