Do trees lose their leafs in texas?

Typically evergreens will keep their leaves year-round. Deciduous trees will drop their leaves in the fall. I imagine you are asking that since texas is a mild climate, will this still happen? From my experience, I live in southern CA, most trees follow this rule.  Even in CA, most maples, pepper trees, willows and fruit trees all lose their leaves in the fall.
