  1. Lots do

  2. Yes Tony Robinson did a blood line of the Royals some time back (very enlightening) He managed to track down a rather large chap in Queensland who by rights should actually be on the thrown in UK today.  Way back someone had a illegitimate son but it was all hush hush at the time but has since been revealed. Tony Robinson asked if he would now challenge the Monarchy for his rightful place but he said that he wouldn't swap his life for anything he was very happy with his lot.  Tony and the Production Team from this History programme left him with all the evidence and proof to how they got to their conclusion and I must say it made very interesting viewing. It was something to do with those 2 brothers in the Tower were they really slane? And a book found in France when someone's wife basically had an 11 month pregnancy because her husband had been away fighting for the whole 11 months but it was best passed off as her husbands yet anyone who could add up knew it could not be her husband at all but conception from an English Royal (not King at the time) and this chap was blood line to one of them. This chap in France had taken years to unravel the contents of this book and he did say it could change the view of the Monarchy forever!!  So he is more Royal than the ones in the Palace, they are mere squatters. YES is the answer. If you contact a BBC shop they may be able to help get copy of programme for you.

  3. There are currently only four states in the world that still retains a rather absolute monarchy, they are Brunei, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Vatican City. Absolute monarchy is a monarchical form of government where the monarch has the power to rule his or her land or country and its citizens freely, with some laws or legally-organized direct opposition in force. Although some religious authority may be able to discourage the monarch from some acts and the sovereign is expected to act according to custom, in an absolute monarchy there is no constitution or body of law above what is decreed by the sovereign (king or queen). Absolute monarchy puts total trust in well-bred and well-trained monarchs raised for the role from birth. An absolute monarch has total power over his or her people and land, including the aristocracy and sometimes the clergy. In practice, absolute monarchs have often found their power limited—generally by one or other of those groups.

  7. No, the prince's have lifes and party, once they become King, things become boring and they no longer live.

  8. I'm a little puzzled by your question. What do you define as 'True Kings'?

There are many Kings alive and well and reigning over their respective countries.

  9. yes

England still has kings and queens.

  10. I am going to make an assumption here and quess by "true kings" you mean absolute monarchies? Sure! Here is a small list for you...

    Swaziland- King Mswati III

Bhutan- King Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck

    Brunei- Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah

    Oman -Sultan Qabus ibn Sa'id

Qatar Emir -Sheik Hamad ibn Khalifa al-Thani

Saudi Arabia- King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz al-Saud

United Arab Emirates- Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahayan

    Vatican City- Pope Benedict XVI

Hope this helped, this is the only absolute monarchies I could find, the rest seem to be constitutional.

  11. yep

  12. yes

  13. Define a "true king"!

If it's through blood line; that implies the sexual integrity of every king's wife since William the Conqueror. Not reliable, if you take recent discoveries into account: http://www.channel4.com/history/microsit...

If it's through right by bloody conquest, then you can really call the most violent tyrants 'true kings'.

If it's by 'divine right'; you're on even dodgier ground, as you're asking a deity to confirm the monarch, and they might be disinclined to acquiesce to your request, so to speak.

  14. Yes. Mostly in the middle east such as saudi arabia, UAE and others, lesotho has the last absolute monarch in africa and there are some in east asia.
