Do trustworthy people actually exist?

Or am I just not naive enough to put my trust in people unconditionally?

Those that you can depend on, know they're being honest without question, are there for you, and actually give a d**n.

  1. Yes, I married the one I met.

  2. There are defintely people like that in my life and it would be sad to hear someone say that they didnt have anyone like that. But it has nothing to do with being naive to think you can put unconditional trust in someone.

Ultimately there is only one person you can TRULY put every bit of trust you have and know they will never let you down and that is Jesus Christ. Get to know him....it's awesome.

  3. Of course there are trustworthy people. But would you trust them "unconditionally"? Not often. I touched on this subject, somewhat, earlier last week. When I was overseas, I had to trust my buddies, in times of battle. If not, then things could have gone badly. But we bonded and trust was never an issue. Plus your question was partially answered by yourself at the end. Just don't let people mistake kindness for weakness and you'll get along in this world, just fine.

  4. Sure, there are true and sincere people out there. Sometimes it is a matter of luck finding that person. Other times you can tell just by the way a person is with other people. I think you know when somebody is there for you and actually cares because there is always a time in our lives when true friends can prove they are there for us. They are usually the first to offer their help without your asking. If you know somebody and expect them to be there for you and they are not regardless of all the little things you do for them, those people are not dependable. They just use people. Don't worry, little by little you will sort them out. Have faith in humanity.

  5. Yes, we are out here. The problem is that there are so many more that are NOT trustworthy. I was fired for being honest with my customers.

  6. I think they are rare, but all I can tell you is I have a friend I've known for over 20 years and to the best of my knowledge has always been trustworthy to me.

  7. Yes, but from my experiences, the ratio is 1:5 1 trustworthy out of every 6 people.  That's what I've known for every 6 people I've met normally,  1 actually proved their trustworthyness to me without any betrayal or lies.  I've met many people and that's my word.  Many of them were friends, but people have their secrets.  some people just live a trustworthy life towards their people.

Fact is, just plain do ever lend anyone anything unless they are family or a very VERY close friend that you can easily hug and express ALL of your emotions tooo...  if you can't do that, they are not close enough yet.

    I raised in D.C.

  8. I have a few very trustworthy friends I have known and worked with for years. There are friends you can trust with your money but not your spouse and vice versa. It all depends on the friend. But yes there are trustworthy people out there.
