I have 2 1 yr old yellow bellied sliders and recently they wont eat their pellets, i use diff types to try keep them interested but they'll only eat shrimp, meat and a few veggies. Is it ok for them not to have pellets?

  2. Yep. There are no pellets in the wild and turtles survive just fine.

  3. uuuu unless u find an other good daily appetite for them

  4. Not only is it okay - it's better for them!  Fresh veggies, fruit , fish and live bugs and worms are better for them than pellets - mostly made of corn.  Be sure to supply him with some calcium supplements though!  Good luck to you and your turtle!  :)

  5. as long as they have a variety of other foods it is fine, sounds like your doing the right thing, good luck.
