Do tuxedo cats have tuxedo parents and siblings?

Does a tuxedo cat need one of their parents to be a tuxedo cat? Are their brothers and sisters tuxedo cats?

It all depends on what the mother and father were, I fostered a mom cat who was totally white and 2 kittens were tuxs the rest were tabbies.

heck no, my tux cat (Thomas) his mother was a tabby and his siblings were a mish mash of ginger and tabbies.

no not neccesarily. my tuxedo kitty came from a litter of tabbies and other assorted patterns. his mom was all grey with a bit of white on her feet and chest.
