what do you think the reason is... ?  why do you think that?   where do you think about news? who cares about reporting stats? when is it relevent ?  how does this pertain to your life?

The media chooses things that are important to viewers. If a small town newspaper chose to write about a farming contest and the winners and made it their front page story, it is probably because that newspaper is derived from a small farming community.

Just like the L.A. Times has a growing entertainment section-its base is Los Angeles are-entertainment capitol.

Sometimes bigger issues like breaking news will take place of that, of course, but for the most part, it is what is important to the viewer.

Like all the coverage on the elections-makes front page because that is VERY important to American readers and viewers.
