Some Information I wud like to share with you

Islamic dates are messed up because Saudi Arabia, Libyan, ISNA, ECFR, etc. have abandoned the Hilal of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. They "FIX" their Hijri dates without carefully evaluating the options that satisfy both the Shari’ah requirements and the geophysical facts of the Earth being a globe.

  11. regulations here use mainly the English one, then followed by the Islamic.

  12. Cousin,

I lose track of days but when I have to like in  rajab, shabaan & ramadan I follow the hijri one & if the gov is makin us goofs then it is totally their fault & they r sinful.

    May Allah give them hedayah.

  13. Both, for different reasons.. For "balance" i guess..

  14. huh?

I dont understand what you are on about.. but here in SAudiArabia.. we follow the lunar cycle and the months start with the sighting of the moon.. we dont set the date by the calender.. if you think so, you are wrong.. Sure they print up already set hijra calenders, for example. they claim Ramadan will start Sept 1st. but this is only a starting point.. if for chance the moon is sighted on Aug 31st or Sept 2nd.. then Ramadan will start on those days.. and it can run for 28,29 or 30 days depending. Ive witnessed many such changes in the calender here in Saudi.. so its not "FIXED" as you say... Get your facts straight!

edit: dont make me laugh.. not admitting to the facts?.. well you are not admitting to the fact that im correct.. it has happened many times.. last Ramadan in fact.. last year in the gregorian calender.. Ramadan was delayed 1 day due to the sighting of the moon on the following day.. here in Saudi.. so I dont know what you mean by me not admitting the facts..  This is fact! ....

  15. I follow both as I need both of them, but I hate that I am not sure if the Prayer time schedule that I got from the net is right or not, and thats of the capital of the city!
