I find this interesting, that she actually believes God handed this task to the USA to invade Iraq (link below). A country that never attacked us or was a threat to us.. and it was God's will for us to invade them? I never knew God was a neocon.

  1. Don't beleive in God.

We are trying desperatly to justify the war the only way we know; brainwash.

    Brainwash= Christianity.

So of course god wanted us to kill innocent civilians you silly person.

  2. NO - she's just as out of touch as McSame......if she replaced her hole with a pole - they would be twins!!

  3. Dude no, one.. I think they are making these types of comments to get both sides bubbling.

The people IQ above chimps will start blogging and going crazy in forums and the sheep will start to think God is sending the U.S. military to Iraq because we deserve the pipelines more than them.

Remind you of another country in the Middle East who used the Old Testament to do the same thing?

  4. The Iraq war is a task assigned to the adminstration by the oil and gas industry during the secret energy bill meetings between their lobbyists and d**k Cheney.

  5. I find that when religious fanatics make arguments they can use the bible for the pro or con.  It really becomes a matter of playing for the base.

  6. Shameless arrogance, no one speaks for God.

  7. No. That lady nuts

  8. No, she is off her biscuit.

This is supposed to be a democracy---not a theocracy! I don't think God puts these sorts of tasks in the hands of hateful bigots whose sole focus is money.

If you read through the Bible at all, you will find admonitions against almost all fiscal beliefs of conservatives.

  9. No, I don't agree with her.  She's just pandering for votes from the Evangelical conservatives.

Nor do I agree with her saying that Hillary's whining during the primaries turned her off.

  10. Wow, I cannot beleive she said that...I am hoping and preying she does not get into the office..

  11. The Iraq war was not from God, and how dare she ever claim it was. Unless she believes that G Dudya Bush is God. It was done for selfish reasons, to pad the pockets of a few wealthy, and very selfish people. God is nowhere in that equation. She is speaking to evangelicals, the selfish, extreme right of the Republican party, or in other words the elite 1% of the USA.

  12. No, I don't.

That quote could be from an Al-Qaeda terrorist as well.

  13. If she did give God credit for the Iraq mess then she needs to get down on her knees and pray for his forgiveness.

  14. I don't know if God exists ..but if there is a God he's very angry with her , i'm sure if there is a God he does not condone war .

  15. Yeah I hear ya....She thinks this is a task from God but totally ignoring the fact that Bin Laden is still alive...I dont know what God she believes in but its not the same God I believe in.

  16. Learn more about the world and get educated before stating a question. Every thing is willed to happen in our world. Go to school and study hard and maybe you can make something of yourself.

  17. Absolutely not.  the Pope said do not go into Iraq. He represents Jesus  here on this earth.

  18. please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Wasn't Jesus a peaceful guy?  I am so tired of Christian extremists twisting the Bible to fit their agenda.

  19. Politicians who say they are answering the call of God are very dangerous.

  20. i don't think god would agree with any war. killing in the name of....???

as much bashing as i may get for this (and on about 85% of things i am liberal), i think killing is never ok. i don't think it is our place to say who lives and dies be it an unborn baby, a murderer or invading a nation and taking down a dictator.

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

    it's not me.

  21. jarod s is right...  If I didn't know any better, I'd think that was a terrorist speaking...  Those words are scary coming from a person who could very possibly be the vice president of our country in the next few months.  It makes you think about all the terrorists and religious radicals that kill in the name of God.  Wasn't that the motive behind the 9-11 attacks?  Ethnic cleansing?  Fighting for the holy land in the name of God?  Does she condone those as well just because they are based on religious agendas, or is she just ignorant?  I hope anyone with half a brain in their skull does NOT vote for McCain & Palin.  That lady is a psycho and I just lost all respect for her...

  22. It would be funny if the Religious Right weren't such a large and easily duped voting block.

  23. No, here we go with another Inquisition

  24. No. But if she wanted to run our country the way Iran runs theirs (with religion at the top of the pyramid), then I suppose it would right. Religion and politics do not mix.

    Lord protect us...

I loved this quote from the article:

"I miss the days when pastors delivered sermons and politicians delivered political speeches," he said. "The United States is increasingly diverse religiously. The job of a president is to unify all those different people and bring them together around policy goals, not to act as a kind of national pastor and bring people to God."
