Do u ballerinas get told off for this?

helloo i do ballet nd im like in love with nail polishes! i always have different ones like blue & purple nd stuff yeah. lol i cbf taking them off for classes so i leave them on nd i had like black and pink on nd my teacher was looking at me like i was from another planet. lol. he didnt say anything tho. does this happen to u? is ur teacher strict?

wearing vibrant, bright, or non neutral colors is never really great to do. if it looks weird on stage then dont wear it

at my studio we're allowed to wear cool nail polish to class, but NOT performances! not even clear, because the lights get caught on them!

my teacher doesnt mind tho she hasnt seen me wearing really dark nail polish yet so i think you should stick wiht light colours like pink and  stuff so you dnt cause too much attention.

Oh lol...

I think i wore a really nice dark purple polish one time, but my teacher made me take it off in front of her...

It WAS for an exam though lol...

I would say that you're fine for class, but be careful with exams and shows!

no she was cool with it but if we had a concert she would say no nail polish!!!

Not in general class no...Because all 3 of my Ballet teachers are absolutely gorgeous and take great pride in their hair, make up, nails etc. But if we were at a competition, exam or concert we would be dead if we had nail polish on.

If I was you, I would just wear a different colour nail polish. Definitely not black-just a lighter colour.

For exams or shows we do get told off but other times not really. One of the teachers I had used allow nail varnish which was the color of you leotrard. I have had to quit ballet due to exams so they could of changed the rules since.

my teacher is very strict  nail polish isn't a good thing to wear in class ,that's why I stopped wearing it all together he didn't yell at me for having light pink on so I think that's OK
