Do u believe in ghosts/God?

ok, so i know that many people don't believe in ghosts, the after life, psychics and basically anything that has to do with the paranormal. they believe that if you can't see it or touch it, then it doesn't exist my question is, do u believe in God? U can't see Him/Her touch Him/Her, yet we tend to believe that He/Her is always around us and protecting us. so how do u know if He/Her exists or ever really did exist?

and y is it so difficult to accept that there very well could be spirits/ghosts among us. our bodies are just a shell in which the spirit occupies until the body "gives out" and dies, but that doesn't necessarily mean that our spirit dies.

anyways, i do believe in ghosts/paranormal and i also believe in God, i just wanted to know ur views and opinions.

  1. hi, I am right there with you. I am a Christian. I also am a creationist/evolutionist

The more that science discovers the more there must be an intelligent source of order that would  prove that must be a higher power.

I was alarmed when I realized that I had the gift of intution and of premission. I worried it was evil. I quickly had a talk with a conservative pastor. I figured he would laugh at me. Instead he backed me up saying that there is a thin veil between the spiritual and physical worlds and that some of us are very sensitive to that place that ocassionally lets it known to us things that we couldn't possibably predict of imagine. He told me to only use it for good and that I need to never put my trust in it, becasue it could just be a messege that I have misinturrupted, which I have done.

For example....When my inlaws went to Europe to visit family, I kept getting the words Life & Death in my brain. I assumed that one of the inlaws would die there. I never told anyone. They came back home alive and well and told me that there was a new baby on the way from the brothinlaw. It was life that I sensed. Not death.

I also had visual pictures in my head of a beautiful graveyard and people sitting at the grave site and the cofin being lowered. And that three men from my life would be there. The color was brillent. I  would have this picture flash in my brain ocassionally for a year or more. I tried to not worry to much about it because over the years I have learned that what will be will be. I figured it was my death.

I was sitting at my 21 yr old son's grave holding his wife's hand while his coffin was lowered in to the ground when I was shocked and remembered my visual premissions was this exact site and it wasn't my death, it was my son's death. Now that is spooky.

I believe that there are many paths to the same destination. Conservative Christians would frown on that. I figure how would a creator just be there for me and my type of people.

The more I believe in God, the less I know and comprehend about the creator. I am beyond baffled about reality, spirituality & our earthly bodies and our spiritual future, ever sinse my son's death.

I have sensed evil in random people. I believe I have met an angel. I am sensitive to many things that others arn't awear of.

  2. Most of the time I think that God exists. Since I had started school it seems the more I learn, the more I doubt I have. I have had a paranormal experience last year so I know that it does exist. I also believe that if the paranormal exist then God must as well, the two go hand in hand. My paranormal experience made me positive that life exist after death, proving God.

  3. I believe in the spirit world, and the various energies that produce hauntings. We really haven't found out what they are yet, and maybe that's a good idea. I'm half expecting some military surveilance system like terrahertz to suddleny capture images of moving shadow people - that proves their existence beyond doubt! But then half the faiths of the world would panic and see it as an end times scenario - that nobody has gone to heaven /  h**l so the whole concept is bogus.

Yes I've seen spirits, but tend to sense them more. I therefore do firmly believe in ghosts.

God - singular, all present and only good,- no. I believe in many Gods and Godesses. They are like parents to me. They can help or chastise. Each has their own forte and knowledge. I have whitnessed  3 now. There is nothing more humbling. They are more like caretakers of earth and us, and organise our lives - whether we acknowledge it or not. If we pay respects to them - they share knowledge with us.

There are also the elementals. A little more tricky to deal with, but useful in times of need. Respect them and they will be there for you. But as I've learn't  - always thank them for help.

Ever whistled for the wind ?

  4. i just asked a similar question myself. I do believe in God and the spirit world. my beliefs in God are simple... i am not a church goer and do not prayer on a regular bases, though i have on a couple of occasions. the Big Boss has shown his merciful side a when i have! But still i have tasted his unforgiving wrath..

On the ghost side of things.. as far as i can remember i have experienced the supernatural.. even been taunted by some. its a hard thing to talk about. and to many stories to tell just one.

I have worked in hospitals an seen/felt them, but by far ..the most vivid encounters where in my place of residency. in one particular case 12yrs ago i was 15yrs old living with my mum and sister, the place we were renting was very active, so to speak.

in the end my mum ( church goer ) had the local priest come around and bless every room with holy water.

i sh*t u not those where some "funny" times.

    all the best mate!

  5. I definately believe in God. And ghosts are very likely.

  6. You might believe that God is always around but I believe that God exists only in imagination.

I don't believe in ghosts or spirits either, since having a spirit would not have aided our survival as we evolved.

  7. I believe in God and I believe in ghosts, spirits, afterlife, demons, the devil etc. I don't have enough room here to explain why I believe in each, but I have had encounters and/or experiences with all of the above, and I have faith in God and the Bible.

  8. I believe in both!

  9. I believe in both.

  10. I don't believe in god.

There has never been any significant proof of a god.

At one time there may have been a Jesus. His "talents" are only noted in the bible, and even that is speculative.

And I don't think he's going to show up for a second appearance. I mean it's been 1,975+ years......you'd think the guy would have made a cameo appearance by now.

I have seen shadow people. I have seen apparitions. I have seen things float in mid air.

I can't explain it. But being a witness to that is more credible than believing in a god.

  11. Yes to both.

  12. i belive in jesus christ and i believe that there are evil spirits cast out from the devil and demonic powers!

  13. no...i am an atheist...

  14. I have been a ghost hunter for many years now. I totally believe in ghosts! I have many times been touched by ghosts and have seen quite a few. I have also picked up a lot of things on my EVP.

  15. To me God is like the magnetic field you cannot see, hear or taste it but you can see its effect on a compass, just as God effects you life, both these existing by effect. Ghost I feel have more evidence, that is "physical" evidence do to many experiences mine and others in the present and past ancient manuscripts and writings on such strange entities and every culture from east to west since man roamed Earth.

  16. I do believe in God, and when I was younger as were all told there's no such thing as ghost's but  for sometime now I do believe there are spirits that are around, if you remember God said in the second coming of our Lord Jesus those that were saved when they died will rise up to meet him in the sky, so therefore all those that have died have not gone on yet, and I believe the spiritworld is getting very crowed, we are seeing more and more communications, manifestations, with and of the spiritworld, especially children, they have such opened minds and believe in the thing's that alot of adults have long since discarded as real, I have had my own experiances and so have several member's of my family, and that is my spin on your question.

  17. This may come as unusual, I actually don't believe in any god, but I do believe that there may be other forms of existence that we just can't comprehend. There are other dimensions and realities out there...as theory goes.

  18. I do believe in ghost and in God

I've never had any type of paranormal contact...

I'd love it  but I think I would be scared :$ haha

  19. i definitely believe in god. he has helped me in college by pushing test a week later so i can study and helping me get a b on my test in my business class my freshmen year. i have yet to see a ghost but i do know they exist, a lot of them don't depart in the after life because they probably believe they are still living. i want to see one, talk to one, and play chess against one, that would be interesting.

  20. I go by Occam's Razor on this one (although most will say it's not O.R.)...the simplest answer is the right one. How could there be anything simpler than considering our human body and all it's parts and how it operates...and not believe someone put all this into action?(And even the bodies of animals etc.....each one so PERFECT) It continues to AMAZE me.I've NEVER  seen a human who could create these.

As for believing in spirits....it should be a "normal" belief. How could anyone even doubt it? If the Creator is a spirit...and He made us...then surely He  also put a spirit into us when He was creating us. Why would He create humans for his pleasure who He could only be with for a short time? If He loves us...He'll want us to eventually be with Him. I hope that reunion will kind of be like the Christian the Lion video...and we'll remember each other and be SO HAPPY.  Too many people have had spiritual encounters and experiences for it not to be fact that spirits exist...and that each of us has a spirit enclosed inside our body.

  21. We're not saying we don't believe in something if we can't see it or touch it.  We do have three other senses, after all.  We're saying if something can't be detected in any way, by anything, or tested or repeated or even falsified, then it probably doesn't exist.

No, I don't believe in ghosts and I don't believe in gods.  There's no evidence that we have a 'spirit' that's separate from our physical body.

  22. I 100% believe in almost all paranormal. You bring a VERY good point. This is a good question. Many people say they believe in god, but say that paranormal stuff is c**p. I believe in both. I think god is paranormal. Actually, to him/her, we may be paranormal. I think we have just as much evidence of ghosts and spirits as we do god. Also, many people, like Mel ^, don't believe in ghosts because they haven't seen or experienced them. I believe ghosts are almost everywhere, however it takes a lot of energy for a ghost to manifest itself, and it is very difficult for them, so they can't stay manifested for very long. This makes it difficult to show themselves.

  23. Not until they come out of hiding.. I mean really wtf why hide we cant hurt you... :P

  24. God is Spirit and does exist, our spirits will never die. There is so much within the spiritual world we cannot comprehend or visualize, that vast immensity of the spiritual world all around and within our planet earth.

I am one of perhaps a few, that's sensitive enough at times to see and or feel the presence of ghost-spirits, and at times they communicate. I have felt many times the different ways God communicates, and once felt God's presence fall on me, as He intervene to let me know telepathically that at that time, moment He was happy with me.

I have felt the thoughts and at times they speak telepathy to me some of these spirits as well as the thoughts of humans will pop in my head.

  25. am very skeptical by nature about the unknown (UFO's, religion, etc.) usually choosing the "I'm not saying there is or there isn't" approach. i guess you'd say it's a scientific attitude of needing/wanting the irrefutable evidence before spouting out just a feel good answer. however, that said, i must say that after watching several episodes of A&E's "Psychic Kids" i am very much leaning towards the true presence of spirits and other psychic phenomena. you just know that there is no way these young children can be acting out what they're saying. their innocence and credibility shows through unlike many adults professing the same experiences.

  26. I believe in God because I have seen documentable medical miracles occur within my immediate family and recognized by a medical doctor.

I believe in spirits because I have seen several and communicated with many.

I believe that whether you see them or not depends on whether you are willing to open yourself to seeing something that is not within the norm.

And I do not judge anyone for their beliefs.  We each have different experiences that shape our lives and our belief systems.

  27. I think there is enough evidence of what people define as ghosts to prove something is going on, but I don't think it's the remains of a person.  I think there is some kind of energy event that is occuring, though, otherwise why would people perceive a house as haunted and take equipment there and be able to record energy irregularities that are not present in places people do not perceive as haunted.  Because people are frightened of it, they come up with a story to try to understand it and feel like they have gained some kind of control over it.  This has been done since the beginning of recorded history when the Sumerians believed that the earth came from a cow named Tiamat and the crescent moon was her horns.  I do not believe in any god(s).  Unlike what people call the supernatural that they manage to capture on digital equipment, there is not a single shred of evidence that any higher power exists.

  28. Never seen either - believe in both

  29. Although I'd love to see a ghost or whatever, I don't believe that they exist.  And my view on god(s) is also that he/she/it/they also do not exist.

In case you're interested, the reason my choice is something known as Occam's Razor - it basically says that one should not make any more assumptions than are absolutely necessary.  Considering that I haven't come across anything that requires the existence of any god, it doesn't make sense for me to assume that there is one, as its existence would make the universe more complex than it needs to be.

  30. Yes I believe in both. Though I have never physically "seen" God/ghosts, I have seen the work of God (through healing, etc) and have experienced paranormal activity. I have also heard many stories of close people I know seeing ghosts.

  31. I too believe in both and have just recently been struggling with this issue. See I only became a Christian about a year and a half ago and almost all my Christian friends have told me you can't believe in both. Spirits to them are not ghost but either angels or demons. I know from my own personal experience this is not. I believe it is actually quite possible to believe in both. My explanation to them is that some believe from the book of Revelations that no one has entered Heaven yet. That everyone will be called up at one time when Jesus returns for the final judgement...therefore in the mean time where do you think the spirits of the dead are? Do you really think they are just laying in the ground? I don't believe this I believe that they are here among us. This usually gives them something to think about.

This is just my own personal belief though and how I can justify there being both to myself.
