Do u believe the stripper myth?

you know the myth "i strip to pay my tuition" does anyone know a stripper who after 4 years got anything more than an allergic reaction on dollar bills on her panty line?

I know two friends personally who stripped through college and stopped after they graduated and found job. For them it was the most convenient way to support their way through.  One worked only one night a week, the other two, and they both made enough money to pay their own way through college.  So, it is not a myth.  

However I do also know of one girl, who used to come into my bar quite a bit, who was never able to leave.  The lifestyle engulfed her and she never did finish college.  

I don't look down at either of them for doing what they did, as it kind of sounds like you do.  They did what they had to do, and they are the better person now for it.

I knew a woman who became a RN and paid for her college by being a stripper.

haha yea college is expensive. I know girls who strip to get through it.

Actually, one I know just graduated in June with a communications degree, but...

She's still doing it...(in her defense, it must be hard to go from a $3000 to $4000 dollar per month job to a $2000.00 per month job..)

I made way more money as a Fine Dining Waiter than I ever could as a rookie Journalist, which was my degree...)

Sigh...

Whats the difference, successful strippers make more than any college grad. on a daily basis.

I know a few who became RNs and left and one working on a Doctorate in some field of math (definitely above my understanding).  There was also one who was doing pretty well in real estate.

More commonly though it is girls partying while they are young, supporting their kid(s) or deadbeat boyfriends, druggies, and sometimes women just doing it while young&pretty to later be a trophy wife.
