  1. Yes I do, but not everyone can see them or hear them or what ever.

  2. Yeah I believe in spirts. My great-grandma died in July 2006. And i had a battery operated toothbrush that stopped working about a week before she died, and I kept the batteries in it. The night after she died, my tooth brush started turning on and off by itself in the middle of the night. Then my tv in my living room, started turning off by itself. so yeah i believe, those are the exact things my grandma would do to annoy me.

  3. Awesome question.

Ya know... I used to be a skeptic, until last year... I always loved ghost stories, and I enjoyed the thrill of scaring myself silly... then one morning, I saw something that really DID scare me. I woke up, and found a half-faded figure standing in front of the door - leaning over the heater (it was winter). I scared myself so bad... I had breathing problems all day and experienced chest pains. It was a long time before I told anyone about what I saw...

Anyway, so what are they? Ghosts... well, ghosts ARE something science has trouble explaining scientifically because they.... well... defy some of the physical laws of science. Because people can't EXPLAIN them that way, we tend to fear it. That's reasonable. It's okay to be afraid of something we don't really KNOW or understand.

Next question, WHY do only some people see it all the time? Well, apparently some people are more sensitive to ghosts (or other supernatural things) than most. Take for example; little kids ARE more sensitive to ghosts than adults. No one REALLY knows WHY, but let's assume they've got something adults don't... or maybe, everyone DOES have it - but as you grow older - it either weakens or goes away? You might also find this interesting: Animals are A LOT more sensitive to ghosts than humans are. In some experiments or tales of hauntings - people who have kept pets have noticed and/or reported their animals behaving wildly or aggressively towards 'empty' spots in the house, farm, building... etc. Sometimes animals act scared instead of being aggressive. I read in a book some time ago that in an experiment done in a haunted house: a dog, cat, rat and rattlesnake were all brought into the house. One by one, they were put into the room - and they all reacted to the same spot in the house... an empty chair in a particular room. Now, what was interesting was ... the dog barked at the chair aggressively before running out and refusing to enter the room again, the cat hissed and raised its fur , the snake reared up and attempted to attack the chair and the rat ... I can't remember what the rat did... but they all detected the 'ghost' in the house...

Moving on, WHY are ghosts more 'believed' in, in other countries? I guess - in those 'other' countries - people are more in touch with 'religion' and are more in touch with that 'paranormal' side of life...? They've believed in it for years, so when scientists try and change their belief with 'facts' or 'new' stuff, they find it hard to accept - often telling them that they're wrong... *shrugs* It depends for different countries, but in the end - we all have our own belief's right?

  4. I didn't before I moved into an apartment several years ago, I thought that people who did were crazy lunatics, but weird stuff started happening.  First, I would hear foot steps in the hallway(Ishrugged it off thinking it was just the apt.) but then other things happened like the lady downstairs got slapped on the butt while I was there, another woman was violated while taking a shower(she's still trynig to find an explenation)  butt imprints on furniture, jewlry being thrown, missing objects, finding silverware that no one i knew owned in the sink, ect, and the scariest is seeing it in the bathroom, I moved out that day.

  5. I believe in the spirit world and have had lots of experiences when they have made contact. Please dont believe people who will tell you that its demons and fallen angels - Spirits are energy, and energy cant die. Spirits can contact people they care about and let them know that they are around them without the use of a medium, they can do this by:

Lights: Many times some people can experience flickering of lights in the room, or new light bulbs burn out instantly. More often than not your lights are effected when a spirit spends a lot of time around you or when they want to get your attention.

T.V: Spirits have been known to effectively scramble pictures on the tv set.

Radios: Many clock radios next to loved ones' bed will turn on at different hours, sometimes it is the hour that has some importance to the person who has passed away. Many times a radio with go on when a particularly significant song is on the air.

Music: many times in their own way spirits are able to impress you with a song or you may think about them when a song is played on the radio.

Clocks: A clock will stop at the exact moment the person has passed over or a clock or watch will stop working for no reason.

Telephones and answering machines: After someone dies it is possible to recieve a phone call and no one is on the other side, or you could hear the voice of the person . in some cases it has been recorded.

Appliances: Appliances have been know to stop or start working at different times when no one is around them.

Other signs are smells or the scent of the person, a favourite perfume, gifts are another sign, a spirit sends gifts and material items but we do not connect that they are from loved ones. Spirits can impress us to buy things or go to shops where things we like are there and we buy them. Animals are also used by the spirit . Many times a spirit being can influence a bird or small animal to come by us to get our attention in some way.

My dad died nearly three years ago. He was very sick with a terminal ilness. The final days of his life he was talking about the fact he wanted to catch up with his mum and his brother also crossed over. And thats all he talked about. All of us kids (there are 6 and we are all adults of varying ages 30 - 40 and all educated to varying degrees). The day before he passed away I felt realy happy and carefree as if I was going on a trip. I was singing a couple of dads favourite songs including a favourite of his called "I am going back to where I come from". I had to remind myself that I was not going anywhere of significance and still I felt light hearted and free. at 7 the next morning mom rang to tell me that dad had died at 5.15 that morning. Now I have a clock with a picture of my son as a baby on it on my night stand and it stopped at 5.15. My sister rang me that day and told me when she heard the news that she had thought "poor dad what will become of him? and got a very clear answer back "we have him" in her mind.

The next few months all of us reported that we had had experiences of dad speaking with us in dreams or in my sisters case she actually heard him play his harmonica to her but when she went to investigate it stopped. My pet name that my dad called me was Lucy and when I was in a shopping mall I had this urge to go to the public notices where people advertise things for sale and there was a advert for a lost dog called "hello Lucy".

It has been believed for 100's of years that the dead return in spirit and lets us know they are alright in lots of subtle ways. Because spirits are energy they communicate through electricity. I asked dad alound once "if you are here make a light globe explode and several went off that week", the house was new and all the globes had been replaced a couple of weeks before.

Spirits communicate through so many signs. Keep a look out. When my dad was cremated I stood at a pond and said a prayer and my partner was squinting and could of sworn he saw a old guy in a hat of the 40's walking by out of the corner of his eye and then it was gone..................my dad wore hats and the clothes he described were what my dad was dressed in at his cremation.............

You might be on the bus and notice something of significance on a bill board. My dad loved the 202 rifle as he had learnt to shoot in the army. After he was cremated my family went to a favourite place and got some fish and chips. The guy called out their number for their order and it was 202....................

In the parapsychology section someone posted a question about ghosts - there are alot of questions posted in Mythology also and 20-30 people share their experiences of contact with the deceased. I have one in my question section which was resolved. Spirits exist and they can make contact to let us know they are ok. And spirits can haunt to they come back for all sorts of reasons and many people report regularily on this forum of their experiences and that tells me there must be some truth in it. There another posting of a similar question here in this section tonight and i have asked similar questions over the year. Usually 20-30 people answer relating their indepth experiences with the deceased, so there must be some truth in it. Also in answer to you other question about why people in other cultures believe I think maybe they are more open spiritually and culturally. I was raised with these beleifes highlighted above so I am more open. If some one is closed minded they may not sense anything even when their is something there.

  6. As a former non believer I would say that yes, they do exist. I had an scary experience once, basically it was like someone whispered into my ear, just three words, that caused me to avoid a situation that ended up going pretty badly for those who were involved.

In WWII my gran was on a train heading to Dresden, Germany, about 10 minutes before it got hydrogen bombed she heard a voice say "get off" whisper in her ear, she had to leave everything she owned behind because there was no time to unload it, but she got off and ten minutes later everyone on the train was dead.

So yes, as a logical intelligent person I can say that there is more to this reality than we are aware of, and if you believe that this world is all we see then you might as well join the other ostriches with their heads in the sand because when you die you will find out for yourself. Until then it doesn't hurt to keep an open mind.

  7. Yes, ghosts and spirits are all around us, unfortunately some see and hear them more than others.  I hear them speak, but only when my wife is around, since she is very sensitive.  My wife and I go ghost hunting a lot and have gotten a lot of evidence.

  8. i think that spirits are true they do exist i have not seen one myself but i feel that there are things in this world we cannot explain and we label things b/c of either belive religion etc we label them as a miracle or a spirit or ghost they might be there or not but just b/c we havent seen one doesnt mean they do or dnt exist

  9. Yes, I do. I have seen many spirits in my life but some people just call you crazy when you say that.

  10. The answer to your question is do YOU believe?  I believe some are more sensitive/open to spirits than others.  Those that are open see it, feel it, etc...Maybe less developed countries have less interruptions and that makes them more able.

  11. They are a figment of your imagination.  Ghosts are not real, sorry.

  12. I believe it's possible but I have never ran across one myself.

  13. Yes I do believe.

  14. In Nashville one night after clubbing i spent the night at a woman's house. I happened to wake up just before dawn and she was still asleep next to me so i spent a few minutes watching her sleep and turned to look at the clock it was about 5am and the sun was coming up.

I happened to look to the foot of the bed and saw a woman staring at me with red hair and a dark green sundress  . I thought maybe she had a roommate or it was her daughter or something (my date was 45) but it dawned on me that this woman who seemed to be in her early twenties at most had the saddest look in her eyes. I couldn't tell iit was a look of just utter sadness, hate or what and as i moved my hand to wake Deborah (the woman who lived in the house) the red haired woman just faded away like a mist but pretty quickly.

I went back to sleep because even though it was a very strange experience i didn't feel threatened by it and i actually felt kind of sorry for whoever the mystery woman was. Several hours later Deborah and i went out to eat and we ran out of stuff to talk about and i just flat out told her "You know i think your house is haunted." She looked at me and her eyes got as big as saucers and i thought "oh great now she thinks i'm insane." but she just said "You are the first person who has been to visit me who mentioned that first. I tell people all the time but no one believes me." She asked how i knew and i told her what i saw. She said she had instances of getting up and taking a shower and when she got back to the bedroom drawers would be opened and so forth. She told me about things coming up missing and the usual electronics turning on and off.

We did eventually stop seeing each other but years later when my daughter was born i noticed weird stuff happening in her bedroom like a Winnie The Pooh lamp fly across the room and crucifixes (my baby's momma is Catholic) being taken down and hidden under beds and so forth. I would also see shadows of people when there was no one in the house and when she was about 6 my little girl asked her grandfather who the man was helping him make Tamales and he told he was the only man in the house. He said when my daughter asked "Well who is the guy next to you?" he was terrified and had my parents come pick her up. Later on he showed her some photos and when my Daughter saw a picture of her greatgrandfather from her grandmother's side (who she never met) she told him that was the guy who was standing next to him when he was making tamales. He was also known to be a devout Catholic who didn't like crucifixes because he "didn't like to see Jesus' suffering."

Those are my tales and why i became interested in paranormal research. People have told me i'm psychic but i just think "psychics" are just good at reading people's emotional states so i don't buy much into that. i strongly believe in ghosts after what i've seen but i haven't seen or experienced anything like i used to.

Remember on the whole no one can prove or disprove ghosts.

  15. I think you have to believe in it to see it. And once you believe, you have to be in tune somehow--you have to notice things. That's why some people believe and some don't. There is usually more than one explanation for why, say, a door swung open, depending on if you believe it was a spirit opening the door, or if you choose to attribute it to the wind, or physics, or a sign from God, or what have you.

  16. I do believe in ghosts, spirits, and other things. We probably can't see them because our minds are too complex. I saw another answer to this question that said children and animals can see them because their minds are not focused enough to not see them. Usually, an apparition that seems as though it doesn't like you, or it's angry or mad is considered a ghost. But most people think all apparitions are ghosts, because that's the only word they know. I am not too sure of the word for nice, or gentle and calmer apparitions, but they definitely exist because there are things that happen that we can't explain, like a picture falling off a wall, or a drawer flying out of a dresser.

  17. tis the matrix

  18. Ghost i.e. spirits are Jinns.  If you want to know more about Jinns, just click my link and read the information on Jinns on the bottom of my blog.

  19. Some people just dont. I think that some people just think of a logical explanation in their head and they dont see it as paranormal. They arent open to it. Like every time I'm mad or upset over something weird things seem to happen to me. Like the computer acts up or something breaks or just doesnt want to work. My friend says that it bad energy. I just think that I have bad luck. Others would think that I have a ghost that is haunting me. Who knows? Some people are just more opened to the experience and some are not.

  20. the spirit world is all around us. good and evil . powers and principalities. read your bible. we live in a world that is a dot in the expanse of  eternity.  I just wander why so many ghost sitings are by people who look like them themselves.

  21. well they are, i think i saw them..but not sure, they r around us sometimes, but we cant recognize them surely...but they r...i beleive that if u interfare with their matters then they will s***w u, but any how some r bad too.....

  22. Lies! All lies!

  23. you don't need to see one of them.if you travel by mind through dreams ,it is the manifestation of spirit within you.if sense something will happen to someone.it is the ability of etheric body within you!

  25. Yes I believe in ghost, spirits, and other things.  My Dad, My youngest son, has seen them.  My sister has seen orbs and I have seen shadow ghosts or beings if that's what you want to call them. For some reason some people are very sensitive to seeing these things.  I really cannot answer all of your question because I am not an expert.  I am just a ordinary person who has seen and experienced some things I cannot explain and I except them.

  26. Because we're not crazy like our "uncles".

  27. Usually to the people who see them. Trying to convince them of anything else is pointless. Supposedly animals such as dogs and cats can also. A friend whose mother had died had a dog. The dog acts as if someone is there in the room and wags his tail and turns to look at you as if he sees her and he's happy she's there to visit. I have seen cats acting as if they were chasing something imaginary also. But, supposedly this is really a cat chasing lint flying thru the air. Ok, whatever.

  28. Yes, i believe in "ghosts", spirits..as I child, there was a kid that always played in our back yard, no one else could see him but me. He was just as real as anything, and played, adn talked. my parents thought it was an imaginary friend.

  29. No I don't and most people who have left the superstitious dark ages and realized that they live in the 21st century don't either.

  30. Yes I do, because I have seen ghosts on many occasions in my life and have even been visited, on multiple occasions, by the ghost of my cat Smokie, who passed away last year.

  31. No doubt they're seing the ghost of "i before e". who never appears after 'c', which evidently you missed.   As for spirits and other such stuff - ain't no such thing,  just  the creative imagination of people who aren't spending their time thinking about anything else.
