I know several  monks. One does not worship Buddha. Only follow his teachings and know he had made it to enlightenment and as with Jesus will always be there for you if you call for him. You to can find enlightenment from his teachings my blessed friend.

real thai Buddhism need not worshiping of any one.

all they do is just study what buddha said and try it themself.

anyway many people like to say that they are thai Buddhism and use that as a reason receive donate money or sell any magic c**p which is totally out of thai Buddhists way.

Although i'm a Hindu but i'm a disciple of Thai Buddhism and i visit the temples in Thailand on a yearly basis for the blessings of course.............

I'm studying Thai Buddhism under Indonesian and Malaysian monks (ethnic-Thais as well as Bumiputeras). None of them even hint at worship of the Buddha, and they're well aware of what worship of a deity involves given the country they've grown up in.
