Do u get more bass in a car if you face your subs toward the front vs the back.?

  1. the back its louder but theres a higher chance it increases the trunk rattle


  2. I'd say facing them up or back would have the best effect but don't quote me on that I'm not a sound engineer.

  3. well if you face them toward the front your sound will not rebound off of anything unless there is a seat in the way so id say the back.

  4. There are too many variables to answer this question.  What you need to do is move your enclosure around your trunk and see what sounds best to you.  There is no best place or direction to mount your subs in a trunk.

  5. They will definately be louder if you face them towards the back no matter what you put them in (provided that you have a vehicle that you can put them backwards in.) That way the sound does bounce off the back of the vehicle. Yes it does cause more rattles, but you can either buy some dynamat (sound dampener) or you can just deal with it and accept that ALOT of cars with nice systems don't always sound so nice outside of the car.

  6. more sound with pointed toward the back gives more room to echo off stuff to give more sound but usually increases rattle louder on inside of car!
