Do u have 1 position in volleyball?

im thinking of joining volleyball and im an incredible server, i wana konw if i wuld just be a server or somethin else?

it depends on where you play.

most of the time you will rotate around the court, playing all the positions, and sometimes you will specialize in one or two positions, and only play there.

serving is not a position, the positions are:

-outside hitters

-middle hitter/blocker

-setter

-back row

but all of it really depends on what your coaches/team does.

if your coach is smart enough then there is a way to do that......all you have to do is sub in as soon as someones about o serve and then sub out when your done serving...its been done before...................

in a normal rotation, you would move around the court and serve when you reach the 1 position.  but if u have enought people on your team, you could just be a serving specialist, and go in to serve, and then have someone take your place in the back row.  You should talk to your coach if that's what you want, is that what your asking?

No, you roatae round the court. You  maybe serving first, then move to your left and just roate Then you will become server again. It will keep going like that.

in high school chances  are you will be playing one or 2 positions otherwise chances are you'll rotate

No, you would not just be server. Everyone serves. Depending on your grade, and the coach, you might play every position, or you might play only one. You might be a blocker, middle hitter, outside hitter, back up specialist, etc...

NO, you will rotate around but you will probably be int back most of the time if your a good server. You could be a la-baro, the back row or passing specialist.

The server isn't an actual position.  A person becomes a server...so say you are a left side player, and you are in the serving position, you will serve and then run to the left side to play defense until that point is over.

On one team we had a "Serving Specialist."  She only came in for one person, she would serve and play in the back row for as long as she was able to keep serving.  Once the team won the point, she was subbed out again.

Honestly, you don't want to be a "Serving Specialist," most teams do not have them.
