Do u have to be 18 to by energy drinks?

well i was a a local store and i was going to buy a monster energy drink im 13 and they said i wasent old enough

There should not be any age restrictions on energy drinks. However, they were not designed for kids either. Kids really should not need them and most of the manufacturers will recommend not giving them to kids.

There is no age restriction where I live for energy drinks,

but the clerk was thinking they might be doing you a favor, those things are way too expensive, and garbage for your body.

Why not slam back a couple of mountain dews, like we did back in the olden days..

Well, a few gas stations around where I live at won't let underage ppl buy energy drinks and I don't know why. It must be the health hazards of energy drinks. But, you should be able to buy energy drinks anywhere at any age. It's not like energy drinks are alcohol even tho that some ppl get hooked onto energy drinks.
