Grab a Pychology textbook or do some research online. You can Google anything you're interested. Check out Wikipedia. Or go to a college's website that you are interested in and research their Psych program.

It is great that you are preparing for your future and interested in psychology. I would not be able to send you some material and it would be massive in size, but I can tell you a little about the major.

Usually you will take an intro course to psychology while in college. This will basically give you an overview of what psychology is. You will learn the basic principles of social psychology, Gestalt psychology, behaviorism, personality and different areas of psychology. You will learn about people who are famous in the field in the history of psychology to make it what it is today (Freud, Skinner, Piaget, Bandera’s, Watson, etc).

Then after your intro course depending upon your college you will branch off into the different areas of psychology. My second psych class was Research Methods class. This semester I am taking Life Span Developmental course.

What I would do is become familiar with what psychology is and the different areas of psychology. Go to the library and get books. Not just a public library, but if you have access to an academic library that is a wonderful resource. Understand basic principles of the different branches of psychology. Do searches online and continue to read and absorb material. I am sure there are some psych forums you could also find in psychology that you can talk to others about the subject. If you have a teacher at your school you could also talk to them. If there is a school psychologist you could speak with him/her and ask them questions.
