Which country are you in?  and how near a river?  There are places you can camp for free in Scotland but with no facilities.

not here in florida, but I know of some in northern Arkansas & missouri

the buffalo river, in Cotter Ark, hammonds camp in dora missouri,

dawt mill in tecumseh missouri, warren or patrick bridge camp in zanoni missouri.

Barmouth. The river runs through it straight off the hills and onto the beach Rowan farm....

Well, it depends upon where you are.  I love to camp, Lake Murray is my favorite spot.
