  1. Yes my cousin does but most ppl say that there is no such thing as dyslexia. but idk why. she is 11 she can barely read.

  2. NO sorry!

  3. Many people think a person with dyslexia is illiterate and unable to learn which is not so, and many dyslexics are very intelligent. With support, teaching and coping strategies in place, we can achieve anything we want.

Both my daughter and I are dyslexic, I only found out I had dyslexia when my daughter was diagnosed.

I failed high school, and I did not learn to read until I was 14. I am currently studying part time and due another medical condition I have, I have been having major with reading lately, to the point that I have to purchase a special computer program designed to assist with reading etc, I also have trouble with spelling especially spelling similar sounding words.

My daughter on the other hand reads fairly well, but has major problems with spelling and writing (dysgraphia). We both have dyscalculia (maths), both failing maths at school.

Once I learnt why I had trouble learning, I went back to school and have become a Youth & Disability support worker and sessional teacher, with a special interest in learning disabilities, especially dyslexia.

  4. yes, my brother had it when we were kids. He still mixes letters up sometimes, just not as bad. My sister had a mild case.

  5. I live with a man (my husband) who has dyslexia.  My oldest son (no relation to my husband) also has dyslexia.  They are BOTH very successful men ... my son is an electrician who makes over $60 an hour and makes TONS of 'overtime' and my husband is a web developer who makes over $60,000 a year.  They both 'read' but slowly, and they like doing things with 'pictures' far more than with 'words' but they are both very GENTLE men who are loving husbands ...

  6. My grandmother has dyslexia. But she can read strait. Is it just a rumor that dyslexics read backwards?

  7. Yes. It is real, and is frequently not diagnosed properly. It can be as bad as having the letters all jumbled up, or as mild as not being able to maintain your place on a page.

  8. Yes, my speech teacher.

  9. Yes, her name is Samantha.

  10. yes my lil cousin. he is about 8, but he is the best drawer i have ever seen. he can see a scene on tv and then draw it only looking at it once.

  11. Yes, I do, me! Sometimes it can make school/work tough, but as long as you work hard dyslexia won't stop you.

Just as a note to the people who wrote jumbled up letters as their answers, you are making fun of someones disability. It's rude. If you saw someone in a wheel chair would you make fun of them? I should hope not. You know, you people should really learn what I means to have dyslexia. Sit down with someone who struggles to read and write and ask them how it impacted their lives. I bet you wouldn't make fun. Please be considerate.

  12. yeah, but they are doing better now.

  13. Of course.

  14. yes three people at my old school had mild(ish) versions of it but could still just manage to read and my chemistry teacher 'claims' to be dyslexic but we don't think he is, it's just his excuse for bad spelling.

  15. My cousin does.

  16. I R LYSDEXIC.

  17. Yes, I think if you want help you should read more often, like during your spare/free time you know maybe it could help you.

  18. oot em

  19. Em, sey.

    Lol.

    But seriously, no.
