My paternal (step) grandpa's name was Johnson,and on my Mother's side it was Coston (with a long-sounding first o--like "coast-in")--which dates back to before 1086 in England.

So far, I have Mom's family on this side back to 1662. My Grandma Coston's maiden name was Johnson, too.   :)

I have two grandpas. One of them has the same surname as me, and the other has my mother's maiden name as his surname; so yes, I do know them.
