Just wanted to see how many of u ppl out there like hogan's heroes.:)

When I was a kid and didn't know the atrocious details about the concentration camps. But you have to remember when it was made, back in the time of shows like Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, The Beverly Hillbillies. Nobody thought it was a real portrayal of n***s. The drums on the theme song were just so cool.

my favorite episode is in the first season where newkirk gets schultz drunk when he is "going to the dentist" haha its brilliant!

i am a huge history fan and WW I&II are some of my favorite things to study.

some of the things you have to keep in mind when watching the dhow are the horrible torture and living conditions our american heroes went through. i forever respect them and still keep them in my prayers. im only 17 but i heard that when the show was airing it was very controversial because of the way it makes a mockery of POW camps.

Did you know that the actors who played schultz and klink were actually jewish?? one of them actually served time in a POW camp. they only agreed to the show if the germans lost EVERY TIME. i think its a good mockery of the german army, and u have to remember the other stalags in the show were quite tough, they were just making fun of the characters.

I always thought it demeaned the real troops that were savaged by the Germans and treated horrendous killers of millions of people as comedians.  I have never watched an episode

I liked Hogan's Heroes up until Ivan Dixon left the show.
