  1. no you can go up to 100 miles into Mexico without a passport    (Depending on where you enter). I went on a cruise to mexico a couple of years ago and bought a sombrero all without the use of a passport.

  2. You don't to get in but you do if your planning to come back again.

  3. No, when I visited Nogales Mexico, something I regretted doing by the way, I did not need any identification to go into Mexico and only needed my driver's license as identification to get out.  We drove from Phoenix, 5 hours and spent almost 45 minutes in Nogales Mexico, bought two blankets and couldn't get out fast enough.

  4. Many people think it is CUTE or unique to say you do not need a passport to GO to Mexicoco, but you need one to come BACK.  They are wrong.  I am really getting tired of these people...they NEVER give a source of info...because they do not have one.    The CURRENT rule is that to travel to and from Mexico by LAND, you need a photo I.D. and a proof of citizenship...EITHER a passport OR  birth certificate.  Requirement for PASSPORT for LAND travel will be implemented June 1, 2009. See site below for the correct, official, no guess ,info.

  5. Yes you do. Rules have changed.

  6. maybe not but good luck getting back here w/o one...

  7. You will need an american passport to enter back to the United States.

    Regulations have changed.
