  1. you need to provide information on how/where they will be schooled next...

  2. You do not need approval. The school should be informed with a letter of intent, but they have no say over it. Homeschooling in Texas is technically running a private school, so the school district can no more stop you from switching to a private school than they can stop you from homeschooling.

  3. No, you don't need any type of approval.  They're YOUR children!  :-)

  4. You're thinking about this wrong. They need YOUR permission to indoctrinate your kid. Most people grant that permission implicitly by sending kids to government schools. Just don't send them there. End of story.

  5. Check out www.hslda.org for your states rules.  It looks fairly easy for Texas from what I see.

    Good Luck!

  6. yes

  7. Why?  Do you actually feel you are more qualified to provide an education than a school system?  And why in God's name would you want to ISOLATE your child/children?
