I have just started to in the past few months ... and I am loving it

I am amazed at the amount of recyclable material that I would have otherwise binned

it makes me feel rather guilty that it took me so long to do this

Yes. I'm lucky to live where there is curbside pickup of recyclable paper, plastic (only certain codes tho), aluminum and metal.

not only do i recycle, but i reuse also.  the other day, as I was heading to the grocery store (where I use canvas bags) I stopped along the way to dump off the cans and bottle and papers at the recycling place, and as i was tossing them in I saw a whole bag of girly magazines.  I thought it an even trade for my newspapers, so I grabbed them out, read the articles, and traded them in at the used bookstore for enough credit to get several used books.  Its amazing what people will throw away, but at the least those people recycled.
