Who cooks in Ramadan? U Or your mama, wife, maid etc..??

I do cook in Ramadan and its exhausting!!

Do u say "THANK YOU" to your mama, wife or any one who cooks especially in Ramadan??

Because cooking in Ramadan demands patience and much more efforts than the Usual days.

And with all that suffering, NO one tells me Thank u SARA :'(

So do u say thank u?

  1. Once married,I do all cooking..I used to thank my mother for what she did..

To be honest,I am afraid of Ramdan nearing.Lot of work, lot of dishes, lot of people to be invited for iftar parties...i ahve to do it all alone, with a small baby of 1.5 yrs old..I really wish Ramdan doesn't come..I know that it is crazy or wrong for me to say so as a muslim. But as a lady,i have to say this..Nobody compromises on reducing number of dishes..

Ah,never mind..the show must go on...

  2. When I was single, yes sometimes I do thank my mum especially when she cook my favorite meal. Now that I am on my own, I cook for my hubby and little kids (my preschool gonna start fasting this year Insha Allah) and oh how I missed my mum's cooking..she passed away last year, 1st Syawal. May Allah bless her soul Amin..

n yes hubby thank me everyday..he thinks i'm the best cook ever! lol..

  3. When my mother used to cook, I used to thank her, like mother, thanks for what you do for us, she smiles and is like, yes ok ok Thanks to Allah.

and now mostly I cook. infact Only I cook. so its others who appreciates me and I don't want my family and loved ones to thank me. When they love the food, and appreciate it, ALhumdulillah thats my reward ~!

  4. lol, i cook in Ramadan, cos its like my mum's lil break. and i'm always saying thanks to the person who made my meal.

  5. no.i feel a bit uneasy right now becus i never said thank u to my mum.

maybe i will do it today.

  6. Of course. I say thank you always, not only in Ramadan.

  7. yeh alhamdulliah i do but she doesnt appreciate everytime we have futour so i just say it now and then so she wont get used to it.. lol

  8. my husband once ina while will say thank you, especially when he knows I made a special kind of dish just for him (something like bamia which he loves and the rest of us do not like).  Because he knows as I made that for him, I have to make something else for me and the girls so its a special effort.  My kids think everything food I make during Ramadan is the best food they ever ate, lol I suppose because they are hungry and appreciate the food which is good as that is one of the lessons they should learn from Ramadan.

  9. i always say thanks to my mom and do u mean uncle by mama?

  10. I do way more than just say thank you to my lovely wife when she cooks for me.  She is truly a blessing from Allah.  All praise and glory be to Allah.

  11. There is a masnoon dua "Allahumma ath'im man ath'amana wasqi man saqana Allahumma barik lahum fee ma razaqtahum wagfil lahum warhamhum (Oh Allah, feed those who have feeded us, give drink to those who have given us drinks. Oh, Allah give barakath to them in their rizq, forgive them and bestow mercy on them)" for those who have provided food on all occassions including Ramadan.  Allah will provide the best food and drinks to them in Paradiese, Insha Allah. This dua can be made for your cook or mother, sister, wife who have cooked food for you.  There will be no reward in the Hereafter for those telling "Thank you."
